Do some research before getting a Host.

1. Support Offered? Live Chats, Ticket System, Email Support, Telephone Support.Support is important when your site is down.

2. Reviews?Do a web search on provider. e.g. "company+review", "domain+review". See if there was any previous problems with server downtime, bandwidth issues, company business style and reputation.

3. How long has this company been in business?Use WHOIS to check Registry Data (Domain: Date Created & Date Expiry)

4. Package Details.Disk Space, Monthly Transfer (bandwidth), MySQL Databases, CGI, PHP4 or 5, FrontPage, ...

5. Control Panel FeaturesDEMO is usually available, try-out to see if you are comfortable with it.

6. Important!!!Check if the provider offers a refund service before signing up.


Good providers specialize in Web hosting, with dozens or hundreds of servers, all protected by carefully designed security, climate, power, and backup systems to ensure that your site stays up and running. They should not limit the kind of software you run on your site either.

Beware!!! Budget Hosting Underhanded Tactics.

Beware!!! If Running on CGI Script or when one of your site has become popular they decide to suspend the account and try to bully you into moving it to one of their more expensive dedicated plans using very underhanded tactics.
